Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU) is home to over 30,000 undergraduate and post-graduate students of 20 faculties, 81 undergraduate training programs, 13 master’s degree programs, 04 doctorate degree program in 19 areas: Health sciences; Arts; Humanities; Social Sciences – Behaviors; Journalism and Information; Business and Management; Laws; Life Sciences; Computer science and Information Technology; Engineering – Technology, Engineering; Production and Processing; Architecture and Construction; Tourism; Environment and Environmental Protection; Educational Science and Teacher Training; Veterinary; Natural Sciences; Mathematics & Statistics.
One of the factors that determines the quality of training and makes the brand of Nguyen Tat Thanh University must be followed by the role of the University’s staff during 26 years of development, which is enough in quantity – solid in quality.
Nguyen Tat Thanh University currently gathers a team of more than 1,445 permanent and visiting lecturers and staff with 381 PhDs. Along with improving the professional qualifications of the pedagogical staff, the University also changed its training methods to meet the increasing requirements of businesses. All training programs of the University are built on the basis of practical needs of businesses combined with reference to international advanced programs. The University also applies a variety of Standards both at domestic and abroad including Circular 12/2017, Circular 04/2016 of the Ministry of Education and Training, AUN-QA, QS Stars, UPM to measure the overall quality of the development-oriented training programs and integrate with international education.
Up to now, Nguyen Tat Thanh University has had 31 training programs that have achieved quality accreditation according to Circular 04 of the Ministry of Education and Training (1st & 2nd cycles), 8 training programs meeting AUN-QA standards, 11 starred training programs according to the UPM Rating System.
With the achievements achieved during 26 years of efforts to build and develop, Nguyen Tat Thanh University has been highly appreciated by society and the State for its outstanding contributions to the Vietnam education. In particular, the First-class Labor Medal for outstanding achievements in education and training, the Third-class Labor Medal for outstanding achievements in the prevention of COVD-19 epidemic in Ho Chi Minh City, or the Top 20 first universities in the country to be certified by the Ministry of Education and Training to achieve educational quality accreditation, meeting the 4-star quality standards of the QS Accreditation Organization (UK), Top 34% QS Asia Ranking 2025, Top 20% THE Impact Ranking 2024, Top 3 Vietnamese universities in US News Best Global Universities (730 globally, 210 in Asia), Top 4 Vietnamese universities in URAP World Ranking, 5-star of the University Performance Metrics – UPM, Top 5 Vietnam for internationally published research, Top 6 scientific journals Vietnam was accepted into the database system of SCOPUS, the only non-public school in Ho Chi Minh City reached the Top 15 on the ranking of 100 Vietnamese universities in 2024, the Top 5% universities worldwide according to Webometrics Ranking, 3rd place out of Vietnamese universities in SCImago ranking.
