Appointment Ceremony of the Associate Professor Titles at Nguyen Tat Thanh University for the 2024-2029 Term
NTTU – On the morning of December 9, 2024, at Nguyen Tat Thanh University, the ceremony for the announcement of the decisions on the appointment of Professors and Associate Professors for 2024 took place, according to Decision No. 89/QD-HDGSSN dated November 19, 2024, on the recognition of Professor and Associate Professor titles, and Decision No. 2971/QD-NTT, 2972/QD-NTT, 2973/QD-NTT dated December 9, 2024, of Nguyen Tat Thanh University for the 2024-2029 term.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Nguyễn Mai Lan, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, Chairman of Nguyen Tat Thanh University Council, Dr. Trần Ái Cầm, President of the University, Emeritus Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Văn Thanh, Vice President and Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trần Thị Hồng, Vice President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Lan Phương – Vice President, Dr. Nguyễn Tuấn Anh, Vice President, Dr. Hoàng Hữu Dũng, Vice President, along with the Heads/Deputy Heads of faculties, departments, institutes, and centers at Nguyen Tat Thanh University.
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trần Thị Hồng, Chairwoman of the University’s Professor Council, congratulated the newly appointed Associate Professors for overcoming many rigorous evaluation rounds to achieve this well-deserved success. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trần Thị Hồng expressed her hope that the three new Associate Professors will build upon their recent achievements and continue to contribute and exert their best efforts to attain even more accomplishments in teaching and research, thus contributing to the development of the University. The Chairwoman of the University’s Professor Council also expressed her gratitude to the units, functional departments, and especially the Faculty of Tourism, Faculty of Educational Science, and Faculty of Engineering and Technology for creating a positive research environment, which has contributed to the outstanding achievements of the three new Associate Professors.
At the ceremony, the University leaders presented the appointment decisions for three new Associate Professors in different fields, including Dr. Nguyễn Lan Phương in Educational Science – Faculty of Educational Science, Dr. Quảng Đại Tuyên in Tourism – Faculty of Tourism, and Dr. Nguyễn Hữu Thọ in Mechanical Engineering – Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
Congratulations to the three new Associate Professors of Nguyen Tat Thanh University
On behalf of the three newly appointed Associate Professors, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Lan Phương expressed her sincere gratitude to the University for its continuous support and for providing motivation, enabling her and her colleagues to achieve their set goals. ‘During my term, I will continue to contribute to the University and society through teaching, guiding doctoral students, supervising graduate students, developing training programs, and shaping my research direction to achieve more valuable international publications,’ newly appointed Associate Professor Nguyễn Lan Phương committed.
It is known that, according to the new policy of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, starting in 2024, each newly appointed Associate Professor will receive a reward of 150 million VND. The conditions set by the University are that the new Associate Professors must be of working age and commit to working at the University for five years following the award decision.
By recognizing three educators who meet the standards for the Associate Professor title, the University has continued to make an important contribution to both the quantity and quality of its staff and faculties. This will help promote the publication of scientific works in prestigious international journals, apply scientific and technological products in practical production and social life, and realize the development strategy of Nguyen Tat Thanh University. In the future, the University will strive to build policies that support Associate Professors and Doctors to increase the proportion of Professors, Associate Professors, and Doctors at the University, aiming to achieve the University’s quality goals in the coming years. It is hoped that during their five-year term, the newly appointed Associate Professors will accomplish their set goals and contribute even more to training, research, cooperation, and other activities, further enriching the achievements of Nguyen Tat Thanh University.
