Nguyen Tat Thanh University cooperates with the Standing Committee of Ben Tre Province to organize the first scientific conference
NTTU – On January 25, 2022, Nguyen Tat Thanh University’s Institute of Interdisciplinary Social Sciences cooperated with the Standing Committee of Ben Tre Province to organize the first scientific conference within the framework of a scientific research project at the provincial level “Digitalizing historical data of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Ben Tre province, period 1925 – 2021”
On January 25, 2022, Nguyen Tat Thanh University’s Interdisciplinary Institute of Social Sciences, cooperated with the Standing Committee of Ben Tre Province to organize the first scientific conference within the framework of the provincial scientific research project “Digitalizing historical data of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Ben Tre province, period 1925 – 2021”. Attending the program were Mr. Nguyen Thai Xay – former Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ben Tre province; Mr. Nguyen Quoc Bao – Chairman of the Union of Scientific and Technical Associations of Ben Tre Province; Dr. Phan Bui Gia Thuy – Standing Vice President of Interdisciplinary Institute of Social Sciences; delegates from the Departments – Branches, experts in historical research, former Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, former cadres of the Youth Union of Ben Tre province through the periods.
In 2021, Nguyen Tat Thanh University and Ben Tre Province’s Youth Union cooperated to register a provincial scientific research topic “Digitalizing historical data of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Ben Tre province, period 1925 – 2021”, implemented in 15 months from January 2022 to March 2023. The topic not only has scientific meaning but also contributes to innovating the storage method and historical data system of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Ben Tre province in the direction of technology, creating practical efficiency in data collection, traditional education, history education for young people, concretize the action program of Ben Tre Youth, actively participate in the Project of Digital Transformation of Ben Tre Province in the period of 2020–2025, with a vision to 2030 of the Provincial Party Committee.
The first scientific conference was held with the goal of collecting comments from experts, leaders, former officials of the Youth Union of Ben Tre province over the years in order to supplement and complete the research framework. Data system on the history of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and provincial youth movement in the period 1925–2021.
According to Lam Nhu Quynh – Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the project, it is necessary to study and digitize historical data of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the youth movement of Ben Tre province. This is the first step towards the goal of digitizing all traditional, historical and cultural data of Ben Tre province as a work to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. In addition, the topic is also considered as one of the parts of the work that the Provincial Youth Union participates in, contributing to and promoting the Community College Project of the whole province of Ben Tre. It is known that up to now, Ben Tre Provincial Youth Union is the first unit in the system of organizing the Youth Union of provinces and cities nationwide to digitize historical data of the local Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
Within the framework of the program, Nguyen Tat Thanh University and Ben Tre Provincial Youth Union signed an agreement on cooperation in training and scientific research, including the following contents: support for capacity building of volunteer youth groups at communes and towns piloting digital transformation, supporting people to participate in digital government; the program “Co-Start – Start-up”; career guidance, creative education (STEM) activities, support students to establish themselves and start a business; support to improve the quality of human resources for young cadres and civil servants participating in digital transformation. At the same time, two sides will closely cooperate in connecting the force of Ben Tre students studying at Nguyen Tat Thanh University in particular and NTTU’s students in general, having conditions to participate in community education activities, applying learned knowledge to contribute to local support for issues related to their major, thereby creating a connection between students of Nguyen Tat Thanh University and high school students in the area, effectively deploying the university’s career guidance and enrollment work more and more effectively.
