Faculty of Pharmacy self-prepares hand sanitizer for the enrollment counseling
NTTU – On the morning of April 21, 2022, lecturers and staff of Faculty of Pharmacy gathered at the laboratory room A204 to prepare hand sanitizers to serve the faculty’s consulting booth. This is an activity to welcome high school students, vocational and continuing education centers to visit and experience at Nguyen Tat Thanh University in 2 days, April 23 and 24, 2022.
The hand sanitizer is prepared based on the formula according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO). The process of researching and producing antiseptic solutions is carried out in a closed laboratory, the source of raw materials is guaranteed according to standards and recommendations.
Product of dry hand sanitizer prepared by Faculty of Pharmacy at Nguyen Tat Thanh University
Main ingredients include Ethanol, glycerol and sterilized distilled water. In addition, there is the addition of tea tree oil to help the product have a more pleasant fragrance. The solution after preparation can be used to disinfect hands daily, has the effect of preventing infection, preventing infectious diseases. After applying evenly on hands, let hands dry naturally and do not need to rinse with water.
After being prepared, the dry hand sanitizer is put into small bottles, spray form, can be kept in a bag or hand, very convenient. After 2 days of implementation, staff and lecturers of the faculty have prepared 300 bottles of hand sanitizer, of which 200 bottles of 30ml, 100 bottles of 100ml are given free of charge to high school students, Vocational Education Center who came to visit and experience at Nguyen Tat Thanh University. In addition, the faculty is also equipped with bottles with a volume of 100 ml to give to staff, lecturers and visitors to use.

In addition to being given hand sanitizer, the faculty’s admissions booth also displayed many other gifts such as plant specimens, environmental petri dishes with diverse colors, medicinal dishes, etc. The students were very excited about this experience. In addition, when visiting Faculty of Pharmacy’s booth, students also received enthusiastic support from the faculty’s teachers to answer their questions and advise them, helping them better understand the Pharmacy industry, giving specific orientations to students to better understand the profession they will choose in the future.
