Analytica Vietnam 2023
From April 19 to 20, 2023, the Analytica Vietnam 2023 took place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC). This scientific conference was co-organized by Nguyen Tat Thanh University, the Vietnam Analytical Sciences Society (VASS), University of Natural Sciences – Vietnam National University in Hanoi, VNU Key Laboratory of Analytical Technology for Environmental Quality and Food Safety Control (KLATEFOS) with the support of Messe Munchen.
The conference welcomed distinguished delegates, including Prof. Dr. Pham Hung Viet – Director of Research Center for Environmental Technology and Sustainable Development, VNU University of Science, Hanoi; Prof. Dr. Dang Vu Minh – President of Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations; Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Son – Vice President of VNU University of Science, Hanoi; Prof. Dr. Detlef Gunther – ETH Zurich’s Vice President in charge of Economic Relations and Research; Prof. Dr. Oliver J. Schmitz –Faculty of Chemistry, University of Duisburg-Essen; Prof. Dr. Tran Dai Lam – Director of the Institute of Tropical Technology, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. On behalf of Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU), Dr. Tran Ai Cam – President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bach Long Giang – Head of Science and Technology Department attended the event with nearly 300 speakers, scientists, international academic advisory councils from Germany, Netherlands, UK and representatives from more than 50 research institutes and universities in Vietnam
In the opening speech, Dr. Tran Ai Cam – NTTU Vice President shared that “The Analytica Vietnam is a perfect meeting place where domestic and international experts and researchers join in a high-level forum through interdisciplinary discussions on research, fundamental analytics, as well as applied life sciences. The upcoming meetings promise that all experts will bring a lot of valuable sharing and experiences contributing to the global success of international conferences. NTTU is honored to receive the support from sponsors to organize the Analytica Vietnam 2023. We consider higher education, research and innovation as our missions. In particular, scientific research and innovation has been prioritized with great attention and investment by the university.

More than 30 research topics were presented in 4 main sections. Each section features significant contributions from leading industry experts around the world on finding solutions to tackle the latest challenges in the industry as well as sharing research findings. The 4 main topics include: – Medical and criminal analysis; – Environmental analysis and environmental quality assurance; – Food analysis and food safety inspection; – New analytical methods. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Nho – Lecturer of the Faculty of Food and Environmental Engineering presented at the conference with the research paper “Studying on the determination of arsenic emitted from the burning of rice husks and straws in a miniaturized incinerator model” on the Environmental analysis and environmental quality assurance section.

Analytica Vietnam 2023 also offers a series of beneficial parallel events such as a business networking gala night; ‘Welcoming consumers’ program to help visitors experience modern technologies, development trends in the market, especially the International Exhibition in the experimental, analytical, diagnostic and biotechnological fields. Analytica Vietnam can be considered the largest event ever attended by 5,000 diagnostic professionals, top industry consumers and top decision makers from more than 30 countries around the world.
Le Xuan Dinh, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Science and Technology further confirmed that “Analytica Vietnam 2023 is not only an opportunity to reconnect and obtain information about modern advanced technology and equipment in the world, but also a place for academic exchanges and international cooperation. Hence, all research papers presented in this conference help to improve diagnostic analysis technology to create high quality products according to the requirements of production, business, export, scientific research, and environmental protection. It is also to promote the application of scientific and technological achievements to production for our daily uses, especially key technologies of the 4th industrial revolution such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, etc.”

Analytica Vietnam 2023 ended successfully, contributing to build a more sustainable cooperation between NTTU and the Vietnam Analytical Sciences Society (VASS); VNU Key Laboratory of Analytical Technology for Environmental Quality and Food Safety Control (KLATEFOS); University of Natural Sciences – Vietnam National University in Hanoi and other domestic and international universities and research institutes. Collaborations with the aforementioned partners are the drivers to improve the quality of education and training, scientific research capacity of our lecturers, researchers and students, hence constantly enhancing our position and reputation in the world.
