Nguyen Tat Thanh University and Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City successfully organize 1st competency assessment test in 2023

On March 26th, 2023, more than 90,000 candidates entered the 2023 competency assessment test hosted by the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City with 47 local universities and colleges. Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU) is in charge of exam locations no. 31 and no.32 welcomed approximately 3,386 candidates.

From early morning, a large number of parents and candidates presented at NTTU’s 2 exam locations at two campuses in District 7 and District 12 to complete the exam application documents. Most of the candidates are students from high schools located in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces such as Tay Ninh, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Long An, and Dong Nai.

According to Dr. Nguyen Kim Quoc, Dean of the Information Technology Faculty and leader in charge of exam location no.32 shared that: “To ensure security and safety, NTTU thoroughly checks the facilities and equipment in the exam rooms. The Organizational Board prepared the exam room in accordance with regulations of safety, hygiene, and necessary items for the examination process. Other equipment such as fire extinguishers, medical assistance, and communication devices are also in place.

In addition, NTTU also allocated 384 staff in charge of different responsibilities to ensure smooth operation of the exam procedures. The University organized training sessions for all staff and lecturers regarding the required duties on the exam date.

The facilities and equipment for the 2023 competency assessment test are carefully prepared by NTTU.

The results of the exam will be used as one of the methods for admission assessment to 10 member universities of Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam National University and more than 60 other universities, particularly for admission evaluation to NTTU over the years. In 2023, the University uses the test scores of Competency Assessment Test for admission to 51 undergraduate programs. The admission period and the accepted scores to NTTU will be announced by the Admission Assessment Council after Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam National University  announces the exam results.
