Nguyen Tat Thanh University achieves 4 Stars rating from QS Stars (UK)
During 3 days from November 26th to 28th 2019, the 15th Asia-Pacific Professional Leaders in Education Conference (QS APPLE 15) was held in Japan. The QS-APPLE 15 was under the theme of “Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Ageing Societies: The Changing Roles of Universities in the Asia-Pacific”
The conference took place at Kyushu University, Japan which attracted the participations of 40 universities in the Asia-Pacific region and other countries around the world. Nguyen Tat Thanh University is one of the three Vietnamese universities participating in this conference. The conference focuses on the issues of student and academic staff international mobility, enhancement of graduate employability in global companies, global impact and reputation in scientific research, and global university branding.
At the conference, QS Stars University Ratings (UK) awarded the certificate of recognition for the participating universities rated by QS Stars in 2019. There are 4 universities rated by QS Stars this time, from Indonesia, Taiwan, Vietnam and Malaysia. Particularly, one university was rated 5 Stars, followed by two universities and one university rated 4 and 3 Stars respectively. NTTU representing Vietnam was honoured to receive 4 Stars rating.

To obtain this achievement, NTTU was assessed by QS Stars through a rigorous and independent data collection and performance evaluation according to 8 categories including Teaching, Employability, Internationalization, Academic Development, Program Strength, Facilities, Social Responsibility, and Inclusiveness. Among these, two categories received 3 Stars are Internationalization and Program Strength. Teaching and Social Responsibility are rated 4 Stars. Especially, 4 out of 8 categories reach 5 Stars, including Employability, Academic Development, Facilities and Inclusiveness. Compared to the result of 2016, NTTU demonstrated a remarkable development and improvement in this 2019 re-evaluation by QS Stars.

Assoc. Prof. Dr Nguyen Manh Hung, President of NTTU, shared: “Developing towards internationalization is the best way for a university to reach the outside world. Particularly, aiming towards QS Stars’ categories will help the university achieve a more defined, specific goals in Internationalization. NTTU has always determined to participate in national and international quality accreditation to demonstrate the university’s teaching quality. In addition, NTTU also involves in university ranking systems of prestigious worldwide educational organizations to assure its position in the field of national and international higher education”.
