Career orientation for Pharmacy students – A way to go

NTTU – In order to help Pharmaceutical students have a realistic view of their jobs after graduation, in the morning on July 17th, 2020, at its main campus (District 4), Nguyen Tat Thanh University collaborated with Hanoi CPC1 Pharmaceutical JSC to organize the Workshop on Career orientation for Pharmacy students – A way to go.

Attending the workshop, on the side of Hanoi CPC 1 Pharmaceutical JSC, there were: Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, General Director; Ms. Phuong Thu, Director of Southern Branch, Mr. Duong Ngoc Hung, Sales Supervisor of OTC Channel; Ms. Tran Nguyet San, Sales Supervisor of ETC Channel. On the side of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, there were: Prof. Nguyen Van Thanh, Vice President cum Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy; MSc. Nguyen Thanh Nghia, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy; Dr. Vo Thi Ngoc My, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, together with lecturers, visiting lecturers, invited lecturers from enterprises, alumni and more than 100 current Pharmacy students.

At the workshop, the Pharmacy students of Nguyen Tat Thanh University were given an overview of the current pharmaceutical sector and pharmaceutical industry trends in the future by representatives of Hanoi CPC 1 Pharmaceutical JSC, as well as were clearly aware of tasks as a Pharmacist and Pharmaceutical Marketing in the 4.0 era. Besides the information shared by experts, students also listened to the sharing of “seniors” who already became the pharmacists. Those shared information shall help Nguyen Tat Thanh University’s Pharmacy students confidently complete their study programs and easily find jobs after graduation.

Participating in the workshop, many students raised questions to experts who helped them to consolidate their learned professional knowledge and skills. In particular, at the workshop, Pharmacy students of Nguyen Tat Thanh University can apply directly for vacancies at Hanoi CPC 1 Pharmaceutical JSC.

In 2019, Nguyen Tat Thanh University is the first non-public higher education in Ho Chi Minh City to meet the accreditation standards for Pharmacy program (for Degree of Pharmacist) under the Circular No. 04 of the Ministry of Education and Training. This will be the motivation for the University to continue affirming its position and training quality in the education map of Vietnam and the world.
