Nguyen Tat Thanh University launches the international student club
NTTU – On the afternoon of March 29, 2021, at the 1A Hospital, the Faculty of Medicine of Nguyen Tat Thanh University launched the International Student Club in Medicine. The program honorably welcomed the participation of the Board of Presidents of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, the Board of Directors of the 1A Hospital, the Dean of Faculty of Medicine, and more than 100 international students studying at the university.
Over the years, Nguyen Tat Thanh University has been chosen as academic destination by hundreds of international students and parents. From 2015 to 2019, the university has admitted 142 international students, including 98 Lao students, 44 Cambodian students pursuing the Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, etc. The launch of the International Student Club in Medicine of Nguyen Tat Thanh University is extremely meaningful. It is a bridge to tighten the solidarity of students of Vietnam – Laos – Cambodia. In addition, the club is also a place for international students to exchange cultures, study, and share life experiences as well as improve foreign languages.
Addressing the ceremony, Dr. Tran Ai Cam, President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University shared: “To be able to study at the university pursuing the fields such as Medicine and Pharmacy, international students have to try a lot, make great efforts, and learn both Vietnamese and professional knowledge. We hope that the companionship of lecturers and friends will help students to have the best study results when studying at the university”.

In order to meet the learning needs of students in general and international students in particular, besides investing in facilities and the faculty members, Nguyen Tat Thanh University has signed the training cooperation with many prestigious hospitals in the country. Be a strategic partner of Nguyen Tat Thanh University since 2018 for many years, the 1A Hospital has always supported the university in training not only teaching and advising on the curriculums of its training programs to be suitable for the actual requirements but also creating conditions and opportunities for the staff and lecturers of the university to improve their professional qualifications. In addition, the hospital is also very active in supporting students. Up to now, nearly 500 students of the 2017, 2018, and 2019 academic years have participated in practical internships at the hospital. Through the internship under the guidance of a team of qualified and dedicated medical doctors, students of the health sector will have more practical experiences which have not yet conveyed in the classes.

Hopefully in the near future, the launch of the International Student Club in medicine shall create favourable conditions for international students to integrate well, complete their learning goals, as well as actively contribute to the training quality of high qualified human resources and further tighten the friendship between the three countries, Vietnam – Laos – Cambodia.
