NTTU – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc: “Firstly all starting up requires engagement, but do not engage alone. Join the start-up community, through which you can discuss and collaborate. We need to jointly build more nursery gardens for start-up like Nguyen Tat Thanh University.”

In evening of 19th July, at the Ben Tre – Dong Khoi start-up fair 2017, President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Manh Hung had the honor to welcome Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc to the start-up product booth of NTTU’s students.

The Ben Tre – Dong Khoi start-up fair 2017 is a program to help the medium and small enterprises, especially new graduates in order to actualize their start-up ideas. Moreover, the program also has a lot of counseling programs, policies and financial support to help the students “spread their wings” in their start-up ambition.

Coming to the Ben Tre – Dong Khoi start-up fair, representing NTTU, the students of class 13DHH01 and 14DHH01 Faculty of Environment, Chemical and Food Technology introduced their Aotanica oil product at Aota company’s booth. This was a start-up product which had been made by NTTU’s students with the help of PhD. Luu Xuan Cuong, lecturer of Faculty of Environment – Food – Chemistry, Director of AoTa International Jsc., with the support of NIIC.

Also on this occasion, 4th-year student Le Quoc Nhat majoring in Food Technology, member of the research team Dr. Le Quoc Tuan, Faculty of Environment – Food – Chemistry of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, introduced to the Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc “products with farmers”.

Faculty of Environment, Chemical and Food Technology had accompanied farmers with various advanced technology applications updated from Thailand, creating products highly yielding crops such as: Natural black dried lemon fruit, An Giang cucumber pickled with mustard seed, mien Tay chili sauce, ketchup, Ben Tre grapefruit, Ninh Thuan green apple… In addition, many start-up models by NTTU students under the instruction of PhD. Le Quoc Tuan launched many innovative start-up ideas from traditional products, advanced and updated technology applications suitable to the Vietnamese conditions and people. Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc was very impressed with the ideas and spent time listening as well as raising questions for the “start-up youth” – NTTU students.

Also in this program, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Manh Hung, Principal of NTTU, introduced Nguyen Tat Thanh start-up fund to delegates of Ben Tre province People’s Committee. Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung stated that the university would contribute 6 billion VND to the Fund for supporting start-up plans, projects in Ben Tre province.

Before that, in 2016, NTTU and Ben Tre province had signed a cooperation program “Start-up Dong Khoi”, attracting more than 2.1 billion VND of fund for students’ start-up projects.

Being one of the pioneers of training alliance – business, Nguyen Tat Thanh University is very focused on the startup activities of students. All of that has created the reputation and brand of Nguyen Tat Thanh University on the map of education in Vietnam and the world. Students came to Nguyen Tat Thanh not only to study for a degree, but also to ensure the knowledge base so that they were able to establish themselves after graduation.

Every year, NTTU invested billions of VND to support students’ start-up projects, regularly held conferences, start-up ideas contests. The university also was the only organization in Vietnam to hold the Global Businessperson Training, organized by Korean Government and funded by UNESCO. To promote start-up activities, NTTU established many centers to support start-up projects such as: Center for Innovative Business Creation, Creative Start-up Club… in order to find excellent student projects, helping them establish and develop the brand.
