04 more training programs of Nguyen Tat Thanh University meet quality standards according to Circular 04/2016 by MoET

NTTU – On May 11, Nguyen Tat Thanh University solemnly held a ceremony to announce 04 training programs accredited in accordancec with the Circular no. 04/BGDDT by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Attending the ceremony, there were Prof. Sc.D. Banh Tien Long, former permanent Deputy Minister of Education and Training; Dr. Tran Dinh Quang, Director of Center for Education Accreditation – Vinh University. From Nguyen Tat Thanh University, there were Ms. Nguyen Mai Lan, Chairwoman of the University Board; Dr. Tran Ai Cam, President, members of the University Council, Board of Directors, leaders of departments – faculties – centers; staff and students of the University.

At the ceremony, Nguyen Thi Thanh, MSc. on behalf of the Center for Education Accreditation – Vinh University announced the Decision to issue the Certificate of Accreditation for the 04 training programs: Economic Law, Civil Engineering, Chinese Studies, Restaurant Management & Gastronomy with the following results: Economic Law reached 92%; Civil Engineering achieved 88%; Chinese Studies reached 90%; Restaurant Management & Gastronomy gained 94%. The accreditation results are valid for 5 years, from May 5, 2022 to May 2, 2027.

Previously, undergoing rigorous work in implementing self-assessment and quality improvement from the end of 2019, after many times affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, from November 27, 2021 to December 1, 2021 the 4 training programs have been externally assessed by the Vinh University Center of Education Accreditation. The members of the evaluation team worked in a spirit of fairness, responsibility, and sharing in reviewing records and evidence, conducting interviews with faculty leaders, program heads, scientific councils, and lecturers, students, alumni, employers, supporting team including departments, faculties and centers in the University and visiting the facilities, 04 training programs were qualified meeting the quality accreditation standards prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Mai Lan – Chairwoman of the Board of Nguyen Tat Thanh University said: “Currently, quality accreditation and quality assurance are mandatory requirements by the Law on higher education in Vietnam. As a non-public university, right from the early days of its establishment, Nguyen Tat Thanh University has determined that quality is a vital requirement for survival and sustainable development. Four training programs accredited including Economic Law, Civil Engineering, Chinese Studies, Restaurant Management & Gastronomy, have contributed to the University’s achievements. Being accredited does not mean completion but it serves as measurements for further improvements in the quality assurance work of the faculties to continuously increase the quality, and implement the mid-term report according to the recommendations of the Center for Education Accreditation Center, Vinh University.”

Training programs awarded certificate of education quality accreditation

So far, Nguyen Tat Thanh University had 17 training programs, accounting for 51.5% eligible for standard assessment according to the Ministry of Education and Training jand AUN- QA; 4 training programs rated according to the UPM University Performance Metrics. This is a worthy result for the efforts of the faculties in particular, as well as of the University in general in implementing training quality accreditation. This result also proves to the society, businesses, parents and learners about the training quality of Nguyen Tat Thanh University.

In the coming time, Nguyen Tat Thanh University will continue to get its undergraduate and master’s degree programs accredited. The success of the programs that have met the accreditation standards will be the motivation for the faculties to continue to learn, to get experience, and to prepare the best way to conduct external assessment in the future.
