Representatives of Angelo State University visit and meet students of NTTU Institute of International Education

On April 26, on behalf of Angelo State University (ASU), Prof. Dr. Won-Jae Lee – Managing Director (Asia Region) had an meeting with NTTU Institute of International Education (NIIE) and students of ASU 2+2 transfer program.

Participating in the meeting, on the side of Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU), there was the presence of Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh – Vice President, Director of NIIE; Dr. Nguyen Lan Phuong – Vice President, Director of the Institute of PostGraduate Training; Mr.  Le Quang Khanh – Manager, Department of International Relations.

Prof. Dr. Won-Jae Lee highly appreciated the achievements that NIIE has gained in the past 2 years, despite facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Prof. Dr. Won-Jae Lee especially emphasized that NTTU is a strategic partner of Angelo State University and said that NTTU’s training curricula has been well-updating with the labour market trends, meeting international standards that help students qualified for valuable scholarships of ASU.

Representing the NIIE, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh thanked ASU for assisting NIIE to create opportunities for students to pursue their dream of studying in the US and experience the world’s leading educational environment with affordable tuition fees and valuable scholarship policies. At the same time, Dr. Nguyen Lan Phuong also expressed her wish that ASU will expand its joint training programs with NTTU through short courses, online courses, summer courses, joint master’s degree programs in the near future. In fact, Prof. Dr. Won Jae Lee was also enthusiastic about Dr. Nguyen Lan Phuong’s recommendations.

Prof. Dr. Won-Jae Lee and the students participating in the ASU 2+2 program had very engaging conversations about life in the US from various topics: weather, tourist attractions, food, diverse culture, extracurricular activities, clubs at ASU, etc. They also discussed about the difficulties that international students often confront, and the knowledge and skills to quickly adapt to the new learning environment. Prof. Dr. Won-Jae Lee also did not hesitate to share humorous stories about himself and his students to give NIIE students confidence in their study journey in the US.

Finally, Prof. Dr. Won-Jae Lee represented Angelo State University and NTTU’s Presidents exchanged meaningful souvenirs and promised that in the coming time, the two institutions will actively promote cooperation to achieve new success.
