Partnerships between the University, Entrepreneurs, Managers, and Scientists

NTTU – On the morning of October 3, 2020, at the main campus (District 4), Nguyen Tat Thanh University held a meeting for Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day (October 13, 2020), the Cooperation Signing Ceremony with strategic enterprises and the Closing Ceremony of Pedagogical Skills Training Courses for invited lecturers from enterprises.  

Attending the events, there were representatives from Board of Rectors, Board of Directors of NTTU’s Entrepreneur Club, Leaders of Departments, invited lecturers from enterprises, more than 200 strategic enterprises, and research centres.

The business meeting on occasion of Vietnam Entrepreneur’s Day is an annual activity of Nguyen Tat Thanh University. This is an opportunity for the University to honor and appreciate great contributions of entrepreneurs who have always accompanied with the University. In addition, the University listens to opinions and proposals of enterprises on improving its training quality to meet demands of employers in the new era.

On behalf of Board of Rectors of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong – Vice President sent her deep gratitude to businesses that have cooperated and supported the University during the past time. “Nguyen Tat Thanh University is one of pioneering higher education institutions in connecting four units: University- Entrepreneurs – Managers – Scientists. Especially, the linkage with businesses to support training, scientific research, technology transfer, and enhance cooperation activities”. With the right orientation from the University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong believes that the relationship between the University and businesses will be more and more sustainable, as well as promote its strengths and advantages.

To strengthen the linkage between Nguyen Tat Thanh University and businesses, the University has signed the Memorandum of Understanding with 22 businesses and research institutes such as Ho Chi Minh City Semiconductor Industry Association, Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (HCA), Sailun (Vietnam) Co., Ltd., JVS Electronics Distribution Joint Stock Company, Hitachi Consulting – Global CyberSoft – Hitachi Global Group, CMC Saigon Technology and Solution Company Limited (CMC TSSG), East Sea Technology Engineering Electrical Automation Company Limited,  the Southern National Startup Support and Advisory Council – Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Vietnam Business Forum Magazine, etc. agreed to: support internships and employability for students, co-organize practical training classes, co-organize supporting activities for students and co- organize scientific research activities and so forth.

On this occasion, Nguyen Tat Thanh University cooperated with Hanoi Pedagogical University 2 to organize the Closing Ceremony of Pedagogical Skills Training Courses for more than 200 staff, lecturers, and invited lecturers from enterprises. Currently, Nguyen Tat Thanh University has more than 1,200 invited lecturers from businesses, hospitals, pharmacies…. Besides teaching, these invited lecturers also participate in consulting and giving opinions on training programs of the University, and most importantly, they encourage students to affirm themselves in a very competitive business environment.

In addition to knowledge learned in lecture halls, invited lecturers from enterprises shall provide students with an infinite source of knowledge about practical issues from many aspects and real lessons which only they know what they really need from students and what students need to learn. Besides, the teaching staff of Nguyen Tat Thanh University is also a bridge between students and businesses, helping the University to solve the problem of employment and the quality of human resources in the period of development.

As an applied and practice-oriented university, for many years, Nguyen Tat Thanh University has continuously renewed its training programs and teaching methods to meet requirements of the society. The university has pioneered in developing the relationship model between university and businesses. Every year, the university coordinates with its Entrepreneur Club to organize job fairs, meetings and direct recruitment with many businesses in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces, connecting more than 2,000 businesses and creating more than 3,000 job positions for students. This is an affirmation of the University on job placement for students “100% Nguyen Tat Thanh University’s graduates employed”.
