Medical Laboratory Techniques

The Department of Medical Laboratory Technology at Nguyen Tat Thanh University was established by Decision No. 87/QD-NTT, issued by the President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University. Its mission is to nurture and train high-quality human resources. In addition to providing knowledge in basic sciences, fundamental medicine, technical principles, and industry-specific expertise in Medical Laboratory Technology, students are also introduced to the principles, operational processes, maintenance, and preservation of various types of medical laboratory equipment. In addition, students are equipped with knowledge of scientific methodology for technical practice, learning, and scientific research; understanding of laws and policies related to protecting, caring for, and improving public health; knowledge of laboratory biosafety and environmental protection; and the application of research methodology in medical practice. To prepare for training in this field, the university has recruited a significant number of full-time and adjunct faculties, including prominent professors, doctors, and experienced master’s degree holders from major medical universities and hospitals both domestically and internationally.
