Impressive figures in 2023 of NTTU Business Club

NTTU – NTTU Business Club has recently summarized its activities in 2023, while also setting directions for 2024 and expressing gratitude and honor to entrepreneurs, businesses, and loyal partners who have made significant contributions to the University’s development.

The distinguished guests attending the closing ceremony were Ms. Bui Hoang Yen – Southern Trade Promotion Agency, Ministry of Industry and Trade; Dr. Nguyen Vinh Huy – Vice Chairman of HCMC Union of Business Association, Chairman of the Business Association of District 3; Mr. Nguyen Ho Thien Nhan – Deputy Secretary General of HCMC Union of Business Association; Ms. Tran Thi Le Hang – Administrative Office of HCMC People’s Committee; Mr. Le Doan – Vice Chairman of Vietnam Businessmen Club; Mr. Ngo Xuan Loc – Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Businessmen Magazine; Ms. Ngo Thanh Hanh – Vice Chairman cum Secretary-General of HCMC Tax Consultants and Agents Association; Mr. Huynh Tan Dat – Vice Chairman of HCMC Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment, along with leaders of unions, business associations of districts and towns in Ho Chi Minh City, leaders of institutes, centers, and over 100 entrepreneurs, businesses, and partners of Nguyen Tat Thanh University.

On behalf of Nguyen Tat Thanh University were Dr. Tran Ai Cam – President of the University, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Thi Hong – Vice President, and heads of faculties, departments, and institutes.

Representatives of NTTU Business Club included Mr. Hua Phu Doan – Chairman of the club, Vice Chairman cum Secretary-General of the Medical Equipment Association of Ho Chi Minh City; Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong – Permanent Vice Chairman, Manager of NTTU’s Department of Corporate Relations and Job Placement for Students; Mr. Truong Sy – Vice Chairman of the club, Deputy Head of the Inspection Committee of Binh Tan Business Association; Mr. Hoang Duc Tai – Vice Chairman of the club, Chairman of the International Alumni Network, along with members of the Executive Committee, Inspection Committee, and numerous members of NTTU Business Club.

Opening the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Thi Hong – Vice President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University – expressed sincere gratitude to the leaders of agencies, units, associations, and unions who have supported Nguyen Tat Thanh University throughout the years. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Thi Hong said that alongside education, Nguyen Tat Thanh University was one of the pioneers in forming strategic business alliances and enhancing partnerships and cooperation with many businesses and partners both domestically and internationally. This is what sets Nguyen Tat Thanh University apart in the educational landscape of Vietnam. Over the past 25 years, the focus on student-centered education and the philosophy of “Real Learning – Real Success – Real Prestige – Real Future” have become a foundation for extensive cooperation between the University and businesses in human resource training, expertise exchange, entrepreneurship, innovation, scientific research, and technology transfer.

Nguyen Tat Thanh University expresses gratitude to businesses and its partners

It can be said that 2023 was a challenging year for the Vietnamese business community due to the impacts of global political and economic tensions; however, in such circumstances, the activities of NTTU Business Club still brought about many positive results.

Reporting on the activities of NTTU Business Club in 2023, Mr. Hua Phu Doan – Chairman of the club, stated that during the past year, the club had collaborated with the Department of Corporate Relations and Job Placement for Students to organize numerous activities that brought practical benefits and significance to students, businesses, the University, and society. In 2023, there were over 300 officially-registered businesses in the club. More than 500 businesses joined the club group on the Zalo platform, bringing the total number of cooperative units of the University to over 3,000 businesses and partners. Additionally, the Executive Committee organized regular B2B Coffee events – meetings between business partners and Nguyen Tat Thanh University every quarter. Furthermore, in the past year, more than 30 strategic partners signed comprehensive cooperation agreements with Nguyen Tat Thanh University in various fields such as introduction of quality human resources to businesses, research collaboration, entrepreneurship incubation, and joint organization of workshops, seminars, experience exchange, and job fairs to provide employment opportunities and practical knowledge for students.

Regarding training, scientific research, entrepreneurship, member businesses have collaborated with the University to participate in, review, improve the content of training programs over the years, promote technology transfer, and research topics. Moreover, member businesses have supported educational quality accreditation to help Nguyen Tat Thanh University improve, innovate, and integrate with regional and global education. Additionally, member businesses of the club have provided guidance and shared practical knowledge with students who have entrepreneurial projects. Furthermore, they also participated as members of the jury and mentor panels in entrepreneurship competitions.

NTTU Business Club, in collaboration with the Department of Corporate Relations and Job Placement for Students, successfully organized three job fairs in 2023 with over 2,000 job vacancies for Nguyen Tat Thanh University students. Collaborating with major partners such as the Student Support Center, AEON Vietnam, Merap Group, Mobifone, Sailun, Continental Textile, Lotteria, the club organized training programs on skills to impress employers, practical visits, knowledge sharing sessions, etc. It also cooperates with CareerBuilder and VietnamWorks to build a job website to create more online job opportunities for students.

With a sense of social responsibility, during the past 365 days, NTTU Business Club gave lots of scholarships to encourage and motivate students in their studies and lives, with the total value of scholarships reaching over 350 million VND, including 1 laptop and 5 motorcycles. Additionally, the Executive Committee representatives have provided support for three Laotian students studying at the University, including 1 Pharmacy student and 2 Medicine students. Furthermore, the club has carried out many activities to assist students in difficult circumstances, providing additional support to help students achieve their educational dreams.

The year 2024 is also the preparation year for the 4th term (2025 – 2030) of NTTU Business Club Congress. The club will continue to support the University in education, scientific research, entrepreneurship, job placement for students; B2B Coffee events – Business Meetings, trade promotion; scholarship mobilization for disadvantaged students; outdoor activities, business networking; cooperation agreements with partners for comprehensive collaboration and mutual support in development, and the continuation of business-faculty connection programs.

On behalf of HCMC Union of Business Association, Dr. Nguyen Vinh Huy – Vice Chairman of the Association – acknowledged and highly appreciated the positive results of the activities done by NTTU Business Club. Dr. Huy believed that the club was doing well in bridging the gap between educators and employers, enhancing students’ skills, professional ethics, creativity, and autonomy, thereby contributing to building a high-quality workforce for society. With the support of HCMC Union of Business Association, Dr. Huy hoped that Nguyen Tat Thanh University, along with its NTTU Business Club, would continue to maintain the spirit, organize more activities with businesses and students, and provide opportunities for learning, networking, and successful implementation of the educational philosophy “Real Learning – Real Success – Real Prestige – Real Future”.

During the closing ceremony, Nguyen Tat Thanh University signed cooperation agreements with six partners in various fields including social science, arts, psychology, and education. Specifically, the new partners are: Tan Van Education System, Vietnam Global Decoration Company, Nhan Hoa inclusive development and education support center, SUNNYCARE Psychological Institute, CareerBuilder Joint Stock Company, and Siemens Vietnam Co., Ltd.

6 partners signed agreements with Nguyen Tat Thanh University

On this occasion, Siemens Vietnam Co., Ltd. presented the “SIMARIS Design Software License” worth 18 million VND to Nguyen Tat Thanh University to support teaching, studying, and research on Engineering and Technology. Ms. Le Thi Nhiem, HR Director of Siemens Vietnam Co., Ltd., stated that SIMARIS was a software for calculating, designing, and distributing electrical grids, switchgear systems, and switching/cutting devices for various projects. SIMARIS applies new technologies which enable lecturers and students to teach and study with advanced devices and technologies.

The year 2024 marks a significant growth of Nguyen Tat Thanh University as the only university named after President Ho Chi Minh in his youth is about to turn 25. The Executive Board and Club Members are determined to unite, bond, and strive harder to achieve the goals set for 2024, contribute to enhancing the comprehensive training quality of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, promote trade opportunities, and improve business efficiency for enterprises.
