12 excellent projects to enter the final round of the “2021 students with Innovative startup ideas” contest
After several rounds of competitions, the “2021 Student Contest with Innovative Start-up Ideas” is officially moving to the final stage. The program is organized by Nguyen Tat Thanh University in collaboration with the NTTU’s Youth Union, the Ho Chi Minh City Student Cultural House and the Southern National Startup Support Advisory Council. Especially in this year’s competition, students of Nguyen Tat Thanh University had a spectacular comeback, participating in 7 out of 12 excellent projects that entered the final round.
The “2021 Student Contest with Innovative Start-up Ideas” aims to promote the spirit of innovation and creativity in life as well as in learning – scientific research of students of Nguyen Tat Thanh University. Meanwhile, it also equips students with knowledge, skills, and opportunities to practice and build entrepreneurial groups among NTTU students. This year’s competition is an opportunity for the organizers to search and select innovative ideas and projects with originality and creativity to support, incubate the successful implementation of participating projects to become new Startups. Based on that, students are able to network with business representatives, creating opportunities for potential projects to meet and approach investors. This is NTTU’s annual program to find and honor outstanding project developers and startups. The competition started in May 2021, taking place during the complicated development of Covid 19. However, the competition still attracted 50 projects from 14 universities and colleges across the country. Before coming to the Preliminary Round, 164 students from participating teams had undergone a training course on how to write a startup project description and implementation plan.
The organizer has selected 30 projects to enter the Semi-Final. This year’s competition is a journey of many unique ideas that are highly appreciated by the judges in terms of creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. At the Semi-final, the Top 30 projects were successfully completed in 4 days (from August 23 to 26, 2021) with several sections including presentations, project introduction videos, media slides, answer questions and online quizzes from the organizers. Previously, 120 students from 30 groups completed a training course on startup model development, business structures, video editing and project communication. Through rounds of consultation, discussions and fair evaluation, 12 projects were accepted to enter the final round on September 22, 2021.
The journey of creating a start-up is like the race of dreams. The entrepreneurs have to fight for their own passion and ambitions by themselves. To win the race, a startup must have creative thinking and innovation along with determination, perseverance and careful preparation to be able to overcome difficulties, step by step transforming their simple ideas into a successful startup.
