NTTU Faculty Member to Participate in International Workshop on Green Technology and Net Zero Emissions in Taiwan
In alignment with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—particularly SDG 17 on global partnerships—a faculty member from Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU) will participate in the “2024 International Joint-Research and Training Workshop on Environmentally Green Technology and Net Zero Emission” (SEA 2024). The workshop will be held from October 29 to November 9, 2024, at National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), Taiwan.

Organized by NTHU with the support of the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) and the Ministry of Education, Taiwan, this workshop aims to strengthen academic collaboration between Taiwan and the international academic community, especially in Southeast and South Asia, as well as other developing regions. The program will focus on environmentally green technologies, sustainability practices, and strategies toward achieving net zero carbon emissions.
To provide both foundational and advanced knowledge of SDGs and net zero emissions (NZE), the 12-day workshop will feature lectures, laboratory training, and field visits covering a range of topics including green technology innovations, SDG implementation strategies, renewable energy solutions, and CO₂ capture and utilization technologies.
Nguyen Tat Thanh University, ranked among the Top 301–400 universities worldwide in the 2024 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, has demonstrated a strong commitment to sustainable development through education, research, and community engagement. The Institute of Applied Technology and Sustainable Development (UDCN&PTBV) is one of the university’s key contributors to these achievements. Participation in SEA 2024 presents a valuable opportunity for NTTU’s faculty member to gain international insights into sustainable and green solutions, strengthen methodological knowledge, and explore practical tools for decision-making in energy and environmental sectors. Furthermore, the program serves as a platform to build collaborative networks in education, research, and community service, and to promote the university’s research accomplishments and institutional profile to the global academic community.
