Nguyen Tat Thanh university launched Earth Hour in 2017

Nabi Nha Phuong and Noo Phuoc Thinh are two ambassadors of Earth Hour campaign 2017

In the campaign, the organizers had announced ambassadors of Earth Hour 2017 who would accompany the community with activities, included Singer Noo Phuoc Thinh and Actress Nha Phuong. Ambassadors and thousands of Nguyen Tat Thanh university’s students jointed the programs responding to Earth Hour 2017 at Nguyen Tat Thanh university with  activities in response to the campaign,  art performances, and the topic of environmental protection contest.

Invited guests included Mr. Nguyen Van Long – Deputy Director of Science, Technology and Energy Conservation, Mr. Nguyen Van Ly – Deputy General Director of Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation, Assoc. Prof. Tran Phuoc – Vice Rector of Nguyen Tat Thanh university, Comrade Nguyen Ba Duc – School Secretary.

The program attracted thousands of participants

The 2017 Earth Hour Campaign was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade based on the initiative of the World Wide Fund for Nature ( WWF). Vietnam Electricity supported and accompanied on the campaign. This was an event that encouraged and called the community to change their awareness of environment protection, climate change scenarios, and energy and resources saving with the message “Lights off to turn on the future”.

In the launching event, students of Nguyen Tat Thanh university were taken part in activities with ambassadors. Especially, there are the knowledge competition in the form of “Golden Bell” about environment, climate change, and questions related to the Earth Hour campaign. The program had also the recycling fashion show of school students. With skillful hands and creation, students brought the unique and beautiful costumes. The show left a good impression on viewer’s hearts. The Earth Hour event had succeeded as well as spreaded the message of environmental protection.

The NTTU Media Ambassador Awards Ceremony and the Registration Ceremony of NTTU Career Ambassador 2017

Addressing the event also organized the NTTU Media Ambassador Awards Ceremony and the Registration Ceremony of NTTU Career Ambassador 2017 with more than 400 NTTU’s students.  The Registration Ceremony of NTTU Career Ambassador took place for nearly 2 months with the registering of more than thousand of students as well as introduced to high school students and community.

These activities were part of a series of events in response to the environmental protection, which was launched by Nguyen Tat Thanh university in order to propagate and change the awareness and responsibility of young people about the present environmental pollution. This is a “Green Action”, which is the voice of Nguyen Tat Thanh university’s students about environmental protection, climate change. At the same time, it creates an excited playground for students of Nguyen Tat Thanh university on the 2017 Youth Month Ceremony and the 86th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
